The following post relates to these books:
- Design and Produce Text Documents
- Design and Develop Complex Text Documents
- Design and Use Complex Spreadsheets
By the end of Skills challenge 1, you students should be aware of the styles and procedures required for the following Skills challenges and Assessment tasks.
The Styles and Procedure Guides outline the standards required for the organisation used in these tasks, for example (Complex text), file naming, envelop size, letter/memo/fax/report layouts etc.
The Complex Styles and Procedures Guide is used to simulate a workplace. It makes reference to the intranet, which many business use to keep their standard files and employees to save their files. As we don't have the ability to save to an intranet while using the textbook, students are encouraged to save the files in the correct files in the student download files. If there is a reference in the Styles and Procedures Guide to a 'page' then this is a folder/file in the student downloads.
Please encourage your students to spend some time reading and familiarising themselves with this document because it will save them time when they need to find a style/procedure through the rest of the Skills challenges and Assessment tasks.
